OEM Goalkeeper Glove Manufacturing

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing) means the factory builds a glove to your specification — your cut, latex, backhand, colourway, logo and packaging. Two programme shapes cover 90% of what brands, clubs and importers actually order:

• Straight OEM — pick an existing last and construction, restyle the colours, add your logo. Fastest and cheapest. Sampling in 3–4 weeks, bulk in 6.
• Full private label — custom cut geometry, custom backhand, custom packaging and hangtags. Sampling in 6–8 weeks, bulk in 8–10, higher MOQs.

A written brief is enough to start sampling. A tech pack removes ambiguity and cuts revision loops. On our floor a complete tech pack typically includes:

• Palm latex grade + thickness (e.g. German contact 4 mm, giga grip 4 mm)
• Cut (negative / roll finger / flat / hybrid) with panel CAD
• Backhand construction — latex, EVA impact zones, mesh, punch zones, spines
• Wrist closure — bandage, elastic, hook-and-loop, hybrid
• Size run (typical: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) and grading tolerances
• Pantone TPX/TCX colours per panel (not RGB screenshots)
• Logo artwork — vector, silicone print, sublimation, or embroidered placement
• Interior label, hangtag, polybag, mesh bag, retail box specs
• Target FOB price band — anchors the material selection

Prices are indicative FOB Karachi ranges, not quotations — driven by latex grade, backhand complexity, size run mix, packaging and order volume.

• German 4 mm contact latex — pro match. Ultra-soft, best-in-class grip, wears in 6–10 matches. Best paired with negative or hybrid cut.
• Giga grip 4 mm — all-weather training. Firmer, roughly 2× palm life over contact latex. Best paired with roll finger or flat cut.
• Hyper grip 4 mm — dry-weather match. Tackier than contact when dry, loses grip in rain. Best paired with negative cut.
• Super soft 3 mm — junior / academy. Softer feel at a lower price point, shorter life.
• Backhand foam — 3–4 mm latex foam + EVA impact zones on the metacarpals, optional finger-save spines (removable or fixed).

• Palm grip audit — controlled catches on a wet leather match ball
• Seam strength — pull test on every finger seam and thumb crotch
• Latex thickness — micrometer check at 6 points on the palm
• Closure cycle test — 500 open/close cycles on hook-and-loop
• Colourfastness — rub test on printed backhands
• Fit sample — one glove per size measured against grading spec
• AQL 2.5 sampling on general finish (loose thread, latex bloom, stitch density)

Buyer-nominated third-party inspection (SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas) is welcome; the factory publishes an internal QC report per PO regardless.

• HS code — 6216.00 (gloves other than knitted). Confirm with your broker in destination country.
• Incoterms — EXW Sialkot for local pickup, FOB Karachi for sea freight, CIF/DAP for door delivery. FOB is the industry default.
• Packaging — polybag + hangtag per pair, 20–40 pairs per master carton depending on model. Carton dimensions and weights are stated on the packing list.
• Freight — sea 25–35 days to EU/US, air 3–5 days. Air freight is usually worthwhile only on first orders under 300 pairs.

• Ordering PP samples on cheaper latex than bulk — the grip you approve is not the grip you receive.
• Skipping the size run — one size 9 sample does not validate the last across 5–11.
• Sending RGB screenshots instead of Pantone TPX/TCX — printed latex drifts by 5–10 %.
• Choosing negative cut for a junior line — durability drops, returns rise. Use roll finger for U8–U14.
• Skipping 3rd-party inspection on first bulk — a $200 SGS report protects a $20,000 PO.
